My name is Alison Kentos and I am so excited to be the Tiny Tigers teacher!
I have 20 years of experience as a teacher, leader and advocate in the early childhood education field. I am the president of the Northwest New Jersey Affiliate of the National Assocation for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). I am an advocate for early childhood education, having promoted high quality preschool education with our state representatives in Congress and Senate. I am a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Studies/Birth through Age Five Education. I have taken graduate school classes at College of Saint Elizabeth and hold a New Jersey Preschool through Grade Three Teacher Certification.
I live in Randolph with my boyfriend, Ryan, and my dog, Randy. I enjoy reading mystery novels, relaxing at the beach, cheering on my WVU Mountaineers and watching movies. Aside from my work with NAEYC, I volunteer with Preschool Advantage, Deirdre's House and I am active in the Kiwanis Club of Randolph.
I am very excited to be joining the Mendham Township Elementary School team and look forward to working with all the children, families and staff!
